We are a team of exceptional creators and researchers with diverse expertise spanning multiple domains, including Ethereum Protocol Engineering, Layer-2 Solutions, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Miner Extractable Value (MEV), Smart Contract Development, Security Auditing, and Formal Verification.
We are dedicated to addressing some of the most intricate challenges in the blockchain realm. We frequently collaborate with prominent organizations such as the Ethereum Foundation, StarkWare, Gnosis Chain, Aave, Flashbots, xDai, Open Zeppelin, Forta Protocol, Energy Web, POA Network, and many others. Our active contributions extend to Ethereum core development, Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), and network upgrades, performed alongside the Ethereum Foundation and other client teams. Currently, our team comprises nearly 200 members working remotely across more than 45 countries.
In your role as the Head of Institutional Sales at Nethermind, you will play a pivotal part in propelling the growth and expansion of our Growth Group. Your responsibilities encompass the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at acquiring and retaining institutional clients. These clients may include financial institutions, hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutional investors. Drawing on your expertise in sales, relationship management, and the blockchain industry, you will be instrumental in achieving our sales objectives and positioning Nethermind as a prominent leader in the market.
- Create and execute a comprehensive institutional sales strategy that aligns with Nethermind’s overarching business objectives.
- Identify and target prospective institutional clients, establish relationships, and oversee the entire sales process.
- Cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified leads by actively exploring new opportunities and converting them into enduring partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to craft tailored solutions that cater to the specific needs of institutional clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, conduct competitor analysis, and gauge market dynamics to effectively position Nethermind’s products and services within the institutional market.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer guidance and support to the institutional sales team to ensure individual and team targets are met.
- Boost revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling Nethermind’s offerings to existing institutional clients.
- Act as a representative of Nethermind at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and foster strong relationships within the institutional investor community.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold a high standard of ethics in all sales activities.
- Achieving or surpassing institutional sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust network of institutional clients and partners.
- Creating and implementing effective sales strategies and initiatives.
- Delivering accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to senior management.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of implemented sales strategies and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A proven track record with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in institutional sales, preferably within the blockchain or fintech sector.
- A strong grasp of institutional investor requirements and market dynamics.
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close complex deals.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport and establish trust with institutional clients.
- A strategic and results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies is highly desirable.
- Leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate a team of sales professionals.
- Availability for occasional travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
