Gauntlet is currently seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to lead our content marketing efforts across all communication channels, both owned and in partnership with others. Thought-provoking and insightful content creation lies at the core of Gauntlet’s contributions to our industry.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing and will be responsible for the strategic planning, production, and performance measurement of Gauntlet’s content marketing initiatives across the entire customer journey. You will collaborate with the business development team, the product team, and external partners and agencies. We are looking for a highly motivated and thoughtful individual who excels in communication and can articulate their strategies for making a significant impact on Gauntlet’s success. This position offers the opportunity to gain operational experience at a high-growth, venture-backed fintech startup operating on the cutting edge of decentralized finance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Take full ownership of the end-to-end content planning and production process, including the development of an editorial calendar, briefing, copy and graphics creation, SEO optimization, publishing, and comprehensive reporting.
  2. Oversee the content production workstream, ensuring timely delivery of content from multiple in-house staff and agency writers and designers.
  3. Conduct research, provide briefs, and craft engaging non-technical and lightly technical content, suitable for platforms like social media, the website, and sales collateral.
  4. Incorporate Gauntlet’s brand guidelines, product marketing documentation, messaging strategy, and content analytics to guide editorial decisions.
  5. Formulate hypotheses and conduct experiments aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of content.
  6. Align quarterly objectives and the editorial calendar with the broader business goals.
  7. Define and enhance content production processes, which includes streamlining writer and agency onboarding and tracking the progress of deliverables.
  8. Spearhead the launch of new content marketing channels to expand Gauntlet’s reach and impact.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a newsroom or in a content marketing role within a brand or agency, with a particular emphasis on content marketing, copywriting, or journalism.
  • Demonstrate expertise in planning, managing, and reporting on a content calendar, as well as a strong aptitude for marketing copywriting.
  • Have a solid understanding of fundamental marketing principles and metrics, including segments, funnel analysis, and engagement metrics.
  • Display the ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment, exhibiting a proactive, goal-oriented approach, and comfort in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Exhibit a genuine interest in DeFi and DAOs, either on a personal or professional level.

  • Proficiency in SEO keyword research.
  • Experience in coordinating deliverables from various sources, including staff, freelance, and agency contributors.
  • Previous involvement in B2B contexts, with experience related to MQL/SQL and enterprise sales enablement.
